Personalized Course Selection
Personalized Course Selection is now open for current 8th graders, high school Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors to select their courses for the 2024-2025 school year using the Student Portal in Aeries. Students will access the Academic Plan, in the Classes tab. Students who participated in Course Registration last Spring will need to verify their classes in Academic Plan and make changes as needed. Students new to KISD this year will need to enter their course requests in Academic Plan.
Instructions on how to enter courses in the Academic Plan can be found following this link Step By Step Guide to Selecting High School Courses in Aeries Student Portal.

Current 8th grade students will need to enter their 4-year plan in Academic Plan. Middle school counselors and advisory teachers will be assisting 8th grade students with this process. In January, high school counselors will meet with each 8th grade student to ensure the 4-year plan is complete, an endorsement has been selected, and the 4-year plan contains all of the courses required for graduation.
The chart below shows when the Aeries Student Portal opens and closes for students to enter or edit their course requests, as well as the date range that counselors will be individually meeting with each student, current 8th graders through current Juniors, to review and approve course selections. Counselors will advise students to ensure the student is on track to complete graduation requirements and endorsements.
