KISD iChoose Virtual Learning Department is dedicated to providing high quality education in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment that builds a foundation for life-long learning. We work to enhance student access to KISD's academic curriculum by providing rigorous and personalized instruction in our Keller ISD community.
Facilitated Virtual Courses (Grades 7-12): This option includes a face-to-face certified mentor/facilitator with an online Keller ISD teacher who is certified in the content area. Students have a designated class period in their schedule when they work on their courses and attend school in person for a full day. Students do have the ability to work on these courses outside of the school day as well as in their scheduled class time. Middle school students interested in these virtual options should speak with their campus counselor.
Virtual Courses (Grades 9-12): This option requires attendance in person for 1-4 hours each day with the rest of their schedule being conducted asynchronously online. Options for AP and Dual Credit classes are available through the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) and Tarrant County College (TCC). Registration for these courses closes 2 weeks after the start of each semester.
Outside of School Day Courses: This option is for students wanting to take virtual courses in addition to their full course load and during the summer. Students work on these courses before and/or after school at the location of their choice. Students have access to an online Keller ISD teacher who is certified in the content area. These courses must be paid for through the Keller ISD web store. Registration details for these courses will be posted on this website and a flyer will be sent through Peachjar.
