Dr. Tracy Johnson was named Keller ISD Superintendent in December 2023, after more than four years serving as the District’s Chief Human Resources Officer. 

Dr. Tracy Johnson was named Keller ISD Superintendent in December 2023, after more than four years serving as the District’s Chief Human Resources Officer. 

She began her educational career as an elementary school teacher in Northwest ISD. After serving as a third-grade teacher and a gifted and talented educator, Dr. Johnson began her administration career in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. She then later joined Keller ISD as the Coordinator of Advanced Academics before leaving to begin a Human Resources leadership role in Denton ISD in 2016, serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources before returning to Keller ISD in 2019. 

Dr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s Degree and Doctorate from the University of North Texas. 

Her husband, Harold Johnson, recently retired from Keller ISD after serving as a career and technical education teacher at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning for five years and, most recently, as Bond Project Manager for KISD’s Facilities Department for four years. They have two daughters and one granddaughter. 

Dr. Johnson is proud to be the first female Superintendent in the history of Keller ISD.
