Veterinary Studies
What to Expect:
This program is a hands-on, interactive, and exciting way to learn about the animal health care industry. These courses are designed to give students hands-on experience in the veterinary and animal science fields. By completing the program and the required clinical hours, students may apply for their Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) Certification through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA).

Livestock Production I Practicum in Agriculture (Non-Internship) I Principles of AgricultureMy name is Bryce Gerhardt and this is my 6th year teaching and my 4th year at KCAL. I teach agriculture and veterinary science. I am also an FFA advisor through our program. I have a beautiful wife Danielle Gerhardt and two precious daughters Emma Rose and Nora Nell. In my free time I enjoy ranching, hiking and any outdoor activities.

Kaylee Snyder teaches R&D: Veterinary Clinical Skills. Born in Tennessee, she has spent some time in several different states before moving here to Texas in 2015 to finish her bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University. WHOOP! She has been teaching for three years now, all here at Keller Center for Advanced Learning. Her own experience in FFA and her agricultural science classes are what led her to pursue a career as an Agriculture Science Teacher and FFA Advisor. Her favorite part of the job is watching as her students grasp new concepts and pour their heart into their passions as well as traveling around the state to allow students to compete in various FFA events. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, cooking, traveling, and watching the Fightin’ Texas Aggies on Saturdays in the fall.

She graduated from Tarleton State University in 2019 with a BS in Agriculture Services and Development with a Teacher Certification. Agriculture and FFA have been a huge part of her life and she is honored to have the opportunity to share her passion with her students. She believes it is a teacher’s obligation to enter the classroom with high expectations and an open mind for each student.Elise FrazierVeterinary Clinical Skills I Veterinary Medical ApplicationsBorn and raised in Texas, Mrs. Frazier graduated from UTA with a B.S. in Biology. After college, she pursued a career as a zookeeper, working closely with giraffes, tigers, and several other exotic species. She enjoyed providing enrichment and training for the animals, but loved spending time in the hospital, where she was introduced to veterinary medicine. She has been in veterinary medicine since and lives for the dynamic that the clinic provides. She is a lifelong learner and is always looking for opportunities to try something new, whether it be a new language or skill. She enjoys going to plays & shows, and is especially obsessed with Cirque du Soleil. I am also one of the FFA advisors and supervise our goats at ALC. I am starting my 7th year teaching, 6 of which have been floral design. I just got married in March to my wonderful husband Josh and we have 2 dogs and 2 cats!
