FRHS and KHS Academic Decathlon Teams Earn 12 Medals at State
Fossil Ridge High School and Keller High School Academic Decathlon represented Keller ISD at the State Meet on February 24-26 in Frisco.
Fossil Ridge finished as the 10th-place team in the Large Schools division, winning four individual medals. Keller High impressively walked away with eight individual awards. FRHS' Allyson Broad earned first place in Interview, while KHS' Natalie Wirdzek placed first in Economics.
The Academic Decathlon is a team competition where students match their intellects with students from other schools. Students are tested in ten categories: Art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social science, and speech.
