On June 6, the Golden Triangle Rotary Club presented Wood and Pitman with the Distinguished Citizen Award, for their outstanding contributions to the students of Keller ISD.

Wood and Pitman were recognized at the Rotary's weekly meeting at DeVivo Bros. Eatery in Keller. As part of the honor, they each get to select a charity of their choice for the Golden Triangle Rotary to donate $200 in their name.

In addition, Wood and Pitman are now also in the running for the Rotary's Citizen of the Year Award, which will be selected at their year-end Banquet on June 27.

Wood is a music teacher at Basswood Elementary, while Pitman teaches digital electronics at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning. They were selected as this year's Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year at KISD's annual Awards Ceremony earlier this spring.

Keller ISD is proud of these outstanding educators and are thrilled to join the Golden Triangle Rotary in recognizing them for this award and their continued achievements.
