May IT'S Award Recognizes TCHS AP Government Teacher

Keller ISD is thrilled to honor Timber Creek High School AP Government teacher Elizabeth Marsh as the final Innovative Teachers Inspiring Students (IT'S) Award Winner for the 2023-24 school year.

Marsh was presented with the IT'S Award at the May 20 Board Meeting after being nominated by KISD Advanced Academics Coordinatorpicture of Elizabeth Marsh Donna Hodge for her incredible execution of the AP Mock Convention each year. Donna shared: "She strives to support her students with a depth of heart and soul that brings her AP Government content alive for students through an AP Mock Convention that allows students to get involved in every step of the government and election process."

The IT'S Award is in its 11th year of honoring Keller ISD teachers. This peer-nominated recognition program highlights KISD teachers for the amazing things they are doing in their classrooms. From innovative to inspiring and everything in between, the IT'S Award is proud to share the stories of the District's most exceptional teachers.

Marsh will also receive a $500 grant, courtesy of the M.R. and Evelyn Hudson Foundation, to use in her classroom.
