FRHS Volleyball Coach Named NE Tarrant Chamber Hometown Hero

Keller ISD is proud to recognize Fossil Ridge High School's head volleyball coach Hollie Huston as this year's Northeast Tarrant Chamber Hometown Hero recipient.

In March, the FRHS volleyball program, under the leadership of Head Volleyball Coach Hollie Huston, organized a donation drive to helppicture of Hollie Huston replenish much-needed supplies for the victims of the devastating wildfires in the Texas Panhandle. Over the span of a week, they invited Keller ISD students, families, and the surrounding community to contribute to this cause by collecting food, bottled water, diapers, animal and medical supplies, toiletries, and more. After filling an entire school bus worth of supplies, the team then traveled to Borger to personally deliver the donations.

Huston was recognized at the Chamber's 20th Annual Hometown Heroes Celebration on May 16 at The Bowden. Each year, the luncheon celebrates the unsung and tireless efforts of local Hometown Heroes in Northeast Tarrant County. The celebration is the Chamber's “don’t miss” event of the year and also the most inspirational.

Congratulations to our 2024 recipient!
