• Academic Decathlon
      •  Academic Decathlon is a team composed of 9 students who compete in events by taking 7 tests, giving 2 speech performances, and writing 1 essay. The team studies 10 topics, all linked by a broad theme which changes each year, and competes at a district-level scrimmage and a regional-level competition before advancing to state and finally to nationals.

    • AVID
      • AVID is an elective course and school-wide support system designed to prepare students with high academic potential for success in college. AVID has a proven track record nationwide for both bringing out the very best in individuals and ensuring that they are eligible and ready to enter a four-year university after high school graduation. AVID students are enrolled in the school's most demanding classes; Pre-AP, AP, and Dual Credit. The three main components of the program are academic instruction, tutorial support, and motivational activities. These students become academically successful leaders and role models for other students.

    • Bolt Yearbook/Illuminator Newspaper 
      • Yearbook and Journalism classes take pictures at games on the field, create the yearbook and make news for the school, involving students in real-world media creation.

    • National Honor Society
      • The purpose of this chapter shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarships, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Central High School. Students who are juniors or seniors and are academically eligible to apply for membership will be notified of that eligibility in the spring. Applicants are encouraged to work on their application as soon as they begin their freshman year by participating in community service, leadership opportunities, and maintaining high academic standards and character.

    • Spanish Club
      • We meet to celebrate the Spanish Language and all of the cultures associated with it. It is a social club. We enjoy learning about Hispanic Culture, celebrating the different culture and especially eating Hispanic food.

    • Spanish National Honor Society
      • The Spanish National Honor Society celebrates the Spanish Language and Cultures that are associated with it. You must have earned an A average in your last 3 semesters of Spanish and be in your second semester of Spanish 3/3 Pre-AP to be able to apply for membership. The organization requires service hours and attendance at meetings is mandatory.
