John Birt is in the first year of his second term as a Keller ISD Trustee, having previously served from 1996-99. He assumed office for his second term in May 2023. 

Mr. Birt attended and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon graduation from Texas A&M, Mr. Birt began a 43-year career in global logistics, supply chain management, and U.S. Customs compliance. He retired in 2018 as VP of Global Supply Chain/Customs Compliance for Williamson-Dickie, Mfg. 

Mr. Birt has participated in the KISD Ambassador program, served on KISD's Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC), and assists KCAL with its student mock interview program. He also serves on the City of Keller's Zoning Board of Adjustments and works with the Outreach and M.A.P.S. (Men's Adoration Prayer and Service) ministries at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. 

"It is an honor and a privilege to once again serve the entire KISD community," Mr. Birt said. 

Married to his wife, Marilyn, for 47 years, Mr. Birt moved to Keller in 1987 along with their two daughters, both of whom are graduates of Keller ISD. Mr. Birt also has three awesome grandchildren currently enrolled in KISD. 

Mr. Birt's current term on the Board will expire in May 2026.
