Visioning Phases

  • Below is a series of phases planned for implementation during the Keller ISD Visioning process.  

    Visioning Questionnaire | October 9-December 15, 2017 
    A community-wide questionnaire designed to gather individuals' perspectives on current opinions and future desires for Keller ISD

    Education Summits | October 9-10 & 16-17
    Fully facilitated and interactive sessions where held in October within each of the four feeder communities within Keller ISD, in which attendees were encouraged to dialogue about the potential futures of the District

    Stakeholder Interviews | October-December 2017
    In-depth interviews with representatives from six stakeholder groups – parents, students, administrators, teachers, former students, and community members – equally distributed across the four feeder communities, totaling 120 interviews

    District/Market Research | September-December 2017
    Primarily compiled by KISD staff, this research on the population, economic, social, and technological identity of KISD was used to inform the Vision Alignment Workshop. 

    Vision Alignment Workshops | February 2-3 (Students) and February 12-14 (Adults), 2018
    A fully facilitated gathering of representatives from across all six stakeholder groups were tasked with the goal to define research-informed Core Beliefs and Education Service Design Problems (Strategies)

    Strategy Audits | March-April 2018
    Groups of stakeholders were assigned to further explore and investigate best practices specific to each Strategy designed during the Vision Alignment Workshop in order to inform refinement and prioritization. 

    Confirmation Workshop | April 2018 
    Vision Alignment Team reviewed the Strategy Audits, and then refined and prioritized the Strategies before they were sent to the Board of Trustees.

    Board Approval | May 2018
    Stakeholders that have been involved throughout the entire process were asked to take part in a comprehensive presentation of the confirmed Strategies (Design Problems) in order to gain approval from the KISD Board of Trustees before moving into solutioning.
