KISD Counseling Vision/Mission

Vision: Students achieve academic and personal excellence and passionately pursue post-secondary opportunities to thrive in a global community.

Mission: Keller ISD counselors will provide exceptional opportunities through the intentional delivery of a comprehensive school counseling program.

Comprehensive developmental school counseling programs are vital to the achievement of excellence in education for all students.  

School Counselors provide services to students, parents, school staff, and the community in the following ways: 

Guidance Education– Lessons on a variety of topics; large-group consultations with students

Responsive Services – Individual counseling sessions; parent consultations regarding individual student needs; coordination with outside referral sources

Individual Planning – Academic and career guidance; parent and student consultation regarding planning and goal-setting; interpretation and analysis of assessment instruments

System Support – Community outreach; parent education programs; teacher consultation; school improvement planning
